Short answer

The best WhatsApp CRM depends on how you sell: Kommo for teams that sell mostly in chat, Zoho CRM for the lowest per-user price with WhatsApp included (from $14 per user a month, billed annually), and GoHighLevel for agencies ($10 a month per sub-account on top of the plan). As of October 20, 2026, every option sends WhatsApp through Meta’s official platform, and none of them can deliver WhatsApp marketing templates to US (+1) numbers, because Meta has paused that since April 2025.

This list is for US small businesses that want WhatsApp chats inside their CRM, next to the contact, the deal and the rest of the conversation. UnifyLoop wrote it, and UnifyLoop is one of the eight options. We checked every vendor’s own pricing pages and help docs on October 20, 2026, and each fact links to the page it came from. We sorted the list by what each tool is best for, not by a ranking.

Which WhatsApp CRMs are worth comparing?

Eight CRMs have WhatsApp built in or bundled closely enough to run a shared WhatsApp inbox in 2026. The table shows the entry price for WhatsApp, how each connects and what each adds to Meta’s message fees.

US list prices, checked October 20, 2026. Meta’s own per-message fees apply on top in every case.

What US businesses must know about WhatsApp before picking a CRM

Whichever CRM you choose, Meta sets the rules and most of the cost. Four things matter most for a US business.

You pay Meta per message, on top of the CRM

Since July 1, 2025, Meta charges businesses for each delivered message, not for each conversation, according to Meta’s WhatsApp pricing page. Messages your customers send you are free. Template messages are priced by type: marketing, utility and authentication. Since October 1, 2026, plain replies (Meta calls them service messages) are free for the first 1,000 per business phone number each month and charged after that, and Meta needs a payment method on file to keep delivering them.

Some CRMs pass Meta’s charges through untouched, some bill them through their own credits, and some add a markup. That difference is in the table above and in each entry below.

Free-form replies only work inside the 24-hour window

When a customer messages you, a 24-hour customer service window opens, and inside it you can reply in normal free text (Meta pricing docs). Once the window closes, template messages are the only type you can send. A good WhatsApp CRM shows the window on screen so your team knows when a reply still lands and when it needs a template.

Templates need Meta’s approval first

Every template is reviewed by Meta when you create or edit it, must reach APPROVED status before you can send it, and review can take up to 24 hours (Meta template guidelines). Plan your follow-up and reminder templates a day or two before you need them.

Marketing templates don’t reach US numbers right now

Meta does not currently deliver WhatsApp marketing template messages to people with US phone numbers. Meta’s own docs say so on its marketing template limits page, and Brevo’s help centre dates the pause to April 1, 2025. This is Meta’s rule, so it applies to every CRM and every provider on this list, UnifyLoop included.

In practice, a US business can use WhatsApp for conversations, replies, and utility messages like order updates and appointment reminders. It can’t use WhatsApp broadcasts to promote offers to US contacts until Meta lifts the pause. Any vendor that promises US WhatsApp marketing blasts today is promising something Meta won’t deliver. Messages to customers outside the US follow Meta’s normal rules.

Best for selling mostly in chat: Kommo

Kommo is the most messaging-focused CRM here, built to turn WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Telegram chats into deals (Kommo pricing). WhatsApp runs on Meta’s official Cloud API with “no extra Kommo fees, just Meta’s conversation prices”, and Meta bills the card on your WhatsApp Business account directly (Kommo WhatsApp overview). It also works alongside the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, and supports templates, catalogs, list messages and buttons.

  • Price: per user, with a 6-month minimum paid up front. Pro is $45 per user a month on the 6-month term, or $37.50 on a 1-year term. Since September 1, 2026, Base and Advanced are priced by billing country (Kommo pricing, billing FAQ).
  • Inbox and automation: a unified chat inbox on every plan. Salesbot automation, broadcasts and AI agents start on Advanced.
  • The catch: no monthly billing and no refunds for unused time. There is no built-in calling or bulk email; calls and SMS run through third-party apps (Kommo calling).

Best if you already run HubSpot: HubSpot

HubSpot puts WhatsApp in its conversations inbox, but only on Marketing Hub or Service Hub at Professional or Enterprise (HubSpot knowledge base, HubSpot product catalog). You connect your own WhatsApp Business Account through Meta Business Manager; personal accounts are not supported. Messages can also be sent from workflows.

  • Price: Marketing Hub Professional is $800 a month billed annually ($890 a month on an annual commitment), with 3 seats and a required $3,000 onboarding fee (HubSpot Marketing pricing). Service Hub Pro uses Service Seats at $100 each (HubSpot catalog).
  • WhatsApp extras: 1,000 messages a month included, then $70 a month per extra 1,000 (HubSpot add-ons).
  • The catch: WhatsApp is not on the free tools or Starter, so getting it means a Professional plan with an annual commitment. In return you get mobile apps, email sync, an API and a large app marketplace.

Best on a tight per-user budget: Zoho CRM

Zoho CRM includes WhatsApp on every paid edition, starting with Standard at $14 per user a month billed annually, or $20 monthly (Zoho CRM pricing). It uses the official WhatsApp Business API through your Meta business account, replies land in a Messages module, and approved templates work in workflows, Blueprint, Journeys and cadences (Zoho WhatsApp help).

  • Cost on top: WhatsApp messages are billed through prepaid Zoho credits.
  • Also included: built-in calling with recording, custom modules and a mobile app (Zoho CRM features).
  • The catch: your team cannot start a free-form WhatsApp chat; outside the 24-hour window it is approved templates only. The Free edition has no WhatsApp, and Standard caps custom fields at 10 per module.

Best for agencies: GoHighLevel

GoHighLevel adds WhatsApp as a $10-a-month add-on for each client sub-account, on top of a plan that starts at $97 a month for the agency (GoHighLevel pricing). It runs on the official WhatsApp Cloud API with one WhatsApp Business Account per location, messages land in the Conversations inbox, and it works alongside the WhatsApp Business app (GoHighLevel WhatsApp FAQs).

  • Cost on top: per delivered message, with US base rates listed at $0.0263 for marketing and $0.0036 for utility, and a default 1.05x multiplier for payment processing (GoHighLevel WhatsApp billing guide). The marketing rate is moot for US numbers during Meta’s pause.
  • Inbox and automation: unlimited users, workflows, SMS, calling and funnels sit in the same account.
  • The catch: phone, email, WhatsApp and AI are all billed by usage on top of the plan, and the product is built around agencies running many client accounts.

Best for sales teams that also call: Freshsales

Freshsales gives you WhatsApp in its chat inbox from the Growth plan at $9 per user a month billed annually, or $11 monthly (Freshsales pricing). Freshworks is an official WhatsApp Business Platform provider, and templates are needed outside the 24-hour window (Freshworks WhatsApp overview).

  • Cost on top: Meta’s per-message charges plus a 20% Freshworks markup (Freshworks WhatsApp pricing).
  • Also included: a built-in phone on every plan and a power dialer on Pro. WhatsApp campaigns need Freshsales Suite.
  • The catch: the 20% markup, and the free plan has no WhatsApp. There is no website builder or checkout.

Best for email-first marketing teams: Brevo

Brevo is an official WhatsApp Business Platform provider, but WhatsApp campaigns and transactional sends need the Professional plan, from $499 a month (Brevo pricing plans). The one-to-one WhatsApp inbox in Brevo Conversations needs the Sales Advanced package on top, at $64 per user a month (Brevo WhatsApp in Conversations).

  • Cost on top: prepaid WhatsApp credits that never expire.
  • Also included: strong email and SMS, a free plan for email, and transactional APIs.
  • The catch: you stack Professional and per-user Sales packages before your team can chat. And since Brevo’s WhatsApp strength is campaigns, Meta’s US marketing pause hits it hardest for US lists.

Best if you live in funnels: ClickFunnels Message Hub

ClickFunnels includes a two-way WhatsApp inbox in Message Hub on every plan, starting with Launch at $97 a month with 2 inbox agents (ClickFunnels pricing). You connect either your own Meta developer app (phone number ID and system-user token) on the official Cloud API, or Twilio (Message Hub WhatsApp setup).

  • Cost on top: none from ClickFunnels; messages are billed by your own Meta or Twilio account.
  • Also included: funnels, Smart Checkout, courses, and Instagram, Messenger and Telegram in the same inbox.
  • The catch: templates are text only (no media headers or buttons), and workflows cannot send WhatsApp (Message Hub send step). There is no built-in calling.

Best for WhatsApp, email and calls in one place: UnifyLoop

UnifyLoop puts WhatsApp and email in one shared inbox on the contact record, with built-in calling alongside, for one flat monthly fee per workspace. Paid plans start with Starter at $49 a month for unlimited users (UnifyLoop pricing). WhatsApp runs on Meta’s official Cloud API with your own Meta app, so you pay Meta directly and UnifyLoop adds no markup. Templates sync from Meta, and the 24-hour window is handled in the inbox.

  • Inbox and automation: email campaigns from your own domain, a power dialer with recording and transcripts, booking pages, pipelines, and AI automations you describe in plain English and review before they run.
  • Billing: monthly only, no contract, no onboarding fee, cancel any time. There is no annual plan yet.
  • The catch: no SMS yet (coming soon, via your own Twilio), no Instagram or Messenger inbox, no Gmail or Outlook mailbox sync, no mobile apps and no public API. Like everyone else here, it can’t send WhatsApp marketing templates to US numbers while Meta’s pause lasts.

How do you choose a WhatsApp CRM?

Start with how your customers actually reach you, then check these points against the vendor’s own pages.

  1. Official connection. Confirm it uses Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API or an official provider), not an unofficial bridge to the phone app.
  2. Who bills Meta’s fees. Paid to Meta directly, through vendor credits, or with a markup like Freshworks’ 20%.
  3. The plan WhatsApp needs. Check the cheapest plan that includes it, not the headline price. HubSpot and Brevo start in the hundreds of dollars a month.
  4. Shared inbox. Can several people answer one number, and do chats sit on the contact record with email and call history?
  5. Templates and the 24-hour window. Does the inbox show when the window closes, and can automations send approved templates?
  6. What you’ll use WhatsApp for in the US. If it’s promotions to +1 numbers, Meta won’t deliver them today. Plan on email for US marketing and WhatsApp for conversations.
  7. Everything else you need. Calling, SMS, a mobile app and email sync vary a lot across this list.

Questions people ask

What is the best WhatsApp CRM for a small business?

There is no single best one: Kommo suits teams that sell mainly in chat, Zoho CRM is the cheapest per user with WhatsApp included, and GoHighLevel suits agencies. If you want WhatsApp, email and calling in one inbox at a flat price, UnifyLoop starts at $49 a month for unlimited users. Check which plan includes WhatsApp, because that is often not the cheapest one.

Can I send WhatsApp marketing messages to US customers?

Not right now: Meta does not deliver WhatsApp marketing template messages to US (+1) phone numbers, and has paused them since April 2025. The pause applies to every CRM and provider. You can still reply to customers, have conversations and send utility messages such as order updates and reminders.

How much does WhatsApp cost on top of a CRM?

You pay Meta per delivered message, plus whatever your CRM charges for WhatsApp. Messages from customers are free, and since October 1, 2026 each business number gets 1,000 free plain replies a month before Meta charges for them. On top of that, GoHighLevel charges $10 a month per sub-account, Freshworks adds 20% to Meta’s charges, and Kommo, ClickFunnels and UnifyLoop add nothing.

What is the WhatsApp 24-hour window?

It is the 24 hours after a customer last messaged you, during which you can reply in free-form text. After it closes, you can only send pre-approved template messages. Meta reviews each template, which can take up to 24 hours.

Do I need my own Meta app to use WhatsApp in a CRM?

It depends on the CRM. ClickFunnels and UnifyLoop connect through your own Meta app on the official Cloud API, so Meta bills you directly. Freshworks and Brevo act as official providers and bill message costs through their own accounts or credits.

Which WhatsApp CRM also has built-in calling?

Zoho CRM, Freshsales, GoHighLevel and UnifyLoop all have calling built in, and HubSpot includes calling minutes on paid plans. Kommo and ClickFunnels do not; Kommo connects to third-party phone apps. Brevo adds phone with its Sales Advanced package.
